Hello everyone, and welcome back to The Bookworm’s Fantasy! I hope you’re all doing well. Today’s post is going to be slightly different to my usual bookish posts: I’m going to be reflecting on/informing you about a few things that have happened in my life recently. Firstly, I’ll be talking about the fact that I hit the 400 followers mark for my blog, and it was also the 2 year anniversary of my blog a couple of weeks ago! Secondly, I’ll be talking to you about my new job (which I’m really enjoying so far)! And finally, I’ll be discussing the fact that I graduated from university and actually have a degree! So, lots to talk to you about. Keep reading…
400 Followers And My Two Year Blog Anniversary!
So, a couple of weeks ago I hit the 400 followers mark for my blog! This is a milestone achievement for me, and I’m so grateful to all of my followers for helping to spread the word about my blog. Thanks so much to each and every one of you for following my blog and regularly reading my posts – your support means the world to me. If you have any comments or feedback about my blog, you can contact me on Twitter (@SnowMel1) or comment down below. I love hearing from you all!
I also recently discovered that it’s been two years since I started my blog! I genuinely can’t believe I’ve been blogging for two whole years – the time has gone so quickly! I really enjoy blogging and I use it as a positive outlet to help me relax and unwind. I love sharing my passion for books with you all, and although the content often takes a lot of time and effort to write, it’s so rewarding when people are reading and enjoying your work! I’m so busy at the moment but I’m still determined to keep blogging for as long as I possibly can.
My New Job!
On the 2nd July, I started a brand new job – I’m the new Marketing Assistant at a hair and beauty company. From the very first day, I knew that this was going to be a job that I’ll really enjoy. I’m really pleased to be working for a growing company who work in an exciting industry such as hair and beauty. All the people there are lovely and have made me feel very welcome, and I’m really excited for what the future holds!
This is my first ever full-time job, so naturally it’s been quite difficult to get to grips with a brand new routine and working lifestyle. I’ve found that I’ve been very tired and reading has had to take a bit of a back seat during my first couple of weeks at work, but hopefully I’ll be fully settled very soon and less tired, so then I’ll have more time for reading!
Graduating From University
It feels crazy to say that I actually have an honours degree in English and Creative Writing. There have been so many times that I’ve really struggled during university and wasn’t sure if I’d ever get there. But I have, and I’m so proud of myself! I’ve worked so hard and tried my best, and it was all worth it in the end.
The graduation itself was a lovely day. All of my friends and family were there to help celebrate with me, and everybody was so proud of me. The atmosphere on campus was so positive and uplifting, and it was lovely to see everybody so happy. I was so nervous before walking on stage and accepting my degree certificate – my legs were shaking! But I did it and I couldn’t stop smiling! The day was bittersweet as I had to say goodbye to some amazing friends. I hope to keep in touch with some of them and continue to meet up. I wish my friends the best of luck – I know they’ll all go on to achieve great things.
Happy reading 🙂
