A Year In Review: 2020

Hello everyone, and welcome back to The Bookworm’s Fantasy! I hope you’re all doing well. Today’s post is going to be a recap of all the books I read in 2020. Goodreads has a feature called “my year in books” which I thought was really fun, so I thought I’d show you what my reading year consisted of! If you’d like to add me on Goodreads, you can find me here. Obviously 2020 wasn’t exactly the best year, and I experienced peaks and troughs with my reading habits. So, here goes…

My Goodreads Reading Challenge.

I am delighted to announce that I actually hit my Goodreads target for 2020! For the last couple of years I have missed my target, so in 2020 I decided to make a much more realistic target – and it seems like this approach definitely worked for me.

2020 threw up SO many challenges. There were times, such as during the first UK lockdown in March and April, when I read loads of books; but there were also times when my mental health was really bad and I decided pick up a book for days. It really was a rollercoaster year, and I’m actually really shocked that I managed to meet my target!

I have set myself a realistic goal to read 50 books during 2021. I feel like I should definitely be able to achieve this, as it essentially equates to 1 book per week, which is what I typically manage…

Some Goodreads Stats.

Happy reading 🙂

  1. First of all, good job on your reading stats! I can see we share some books! How did you find Helen Fields? She’s the only author I read when it comes to police procedurals and detective stories… I like her writing so, so much!
